Montana v. Wyoming, Syllabus

This headnote from the USSC attempts to explain their ruling against Montana with respect to increased irrigation efficiency and its impact on the downstream Montana users. While apparently acknowledging the increased depletions by Wyoming and the effect that may have on the Montana water users, the Court found that because neither the Compact nor state law addressed increased depletions resulting from increased irrigation efficiencies, there was no basis for a claim.
